Devlog 4 - Level Prototype (Feb 14 -20)


Last week we finished prototyping the majority of Level 1 features and will be starting to prepare for the prototype.

The programming team finished the following features: 

  • An electrified puddle that pushes you back when you step into it
  • An emergency power area
  • Character animations, the player can look down and see their feet walking
  • Time-stopping mechanic where you can freeze time but still look and walk
  • A new and improved timer which is less precise but gives the player a general idea of how much time is left

Our audio engineers have started on every sound effect that will be needed for level, currently 23 out of the 36 sound effects have been created, some of which are

  • Generator noises
  • Footstep noises on different types of surfaces (hard floor, water)
  • UI interaction noises
  • Time freeze stop and start

Our concept artist have started to concept out the assets that will be used for level 1 and some of which will be present for the alpha.
